Role
Visual design: print, email, digital assets
The University of Washington presents several public lectures each year. With the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, the UW History Department focused their 2017 annual public lecture series on the topic of revolutions across five countries: America, France, Russia, Vietnam and Cuba.
I designed the marketing materials for this five-lecture series, encompassing a printed poster and event pass, website posts, registration pages, emails, slides, and social media graphics.

Pen & Paper, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
I explored several directions for the poster design, narrowing it down to statue images, a fist illustration, and a broken chain image. The final design used the broken chain, symbolizing the freedom that comes after a successful revolution. All other design pieces were based on the poster.
In addition to the poster, the lecture series was promoted with a website post, emails, social media graphic, and a slide shown at other lectures and events. I also created a title slide for the lecturers to use for their presentation.
Event badges for season ticket holders carried the look through and made it easier for lecture attendees and staff to check in quickly at each of the five lectures.
